Losing almost everyone on the O and D line. 1st priority
Losing all our Tight ends…still don’t understand why Jackson Bowers is leaving
Lassiter at wideout and possibly Roberts enters the draft. This KS kid, Trey Spivey looks like a fit
posted that same article somewhere else
Sitake said he will focus TP on guys BYU has already either offered or have BYU connections:
Code word…We don’t have unlimited money that basketball enjoys
It really doesn’t matter. We have plenty to replace him with. There will be transfers as well as the new recruits coming in. He saw the writing on the wall and wants to try and make some NIL money and play.
We talked about this all season. a good TE with speed is a mismatch for LBers. IF you are the QB factory (BYU), You need a min of 2 good TEs and you need them to be feed constantly, as in a min of 6 balls per game…min
My “all things Utes guy”. Likes Carsen Ryan a lot. Says we’re getting a good one. Likely left because wants more touches and maybe a bit because have new OC coming.
He said if want to see Ryan in action watch the Ute Colorado game. He was really good.
This an example of a strategic, great transfer in. Kudos to Kalani.
Although a dirty word to one on this boat- this is an excellent example of upgrading. It’s all about upgrading with great fits that work for your program.
Like I said, it didn’t matter. There are tight ends out there that will transfer in from teams that didn’t do well last year. Bowers is one. There are others as well.
So I was checking to see which BYU players are “opting in” the bowl game.
They Mention Robinson, Lassiter (2nd half because of him being kicked out the houston game for fighting), etc. are going to play. Not sure about Roberts yet…
But something interesting popped up about why some players are going to the portal. Apparently, the NCAA and their brilliant (being factious here) brain trust is lowering the number of scholarships from 118 to 105. So, some players are leaving because they are going to get cut anyways.
I would like Hopper to explain how a school who “offered and signed” a player to a scholarship contract to play for BYU, then pulls the scholarship for any reason, is different that a player committing then transferring.
I would like to see what illogical statement you can make about that.
Yea, I was a bit surprised as well, I thought he would end up at Utah or USU.
