We know there are other worlds populated by Father in Heaven. However, this is the world where Jehovah would come to and atone for our sins and every other world. This one. After all, we are cruel enough to kill our own Lord. He made this world to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.

In his early years he was an atheist Jew. Not surprising as many in Tel-Eviv today are also. They are Jews in a national sense for the most part. I am a Jewish convert and my parents were much like that. We did the family Passover and high holiday thing. My brother and I somehow believed in a real God.
He describes himself as being agnostic rather than atheistic. And yes, the Presidency would have been primarily ceremonial just like the king or queenship is in several countries. He was, however offered the opportunity and the facilities to continue his scientific research, so I doubt he would have been bored.

Why do some of us engage the hopper like this? He is intent on arguing only and nothing else. There is no desire to learn or accept the ideas of others, even when it is truth. The hopper contrives his own truth, based on his own opinion and perspective and nobody else’s.
His opinions on this latest topic are based on a mini-series apparently so now he relies on the opinions of some television producer. That is where we should all find the truth, from a television show… haha.
Every once in awhile I go through a period where I have little desire to post on this board. It usually coincides with some ridiculous effort by the grasshopper to discredit or argue with someone else or myself.
This is one of those times.
Lol I understand Hawks. The things is I try and never give up on anything and sometimes I just want to close off the board forever, but there are a lot of good people who post here and they are interesting to hear their perceptions on things, even as trivial as sports and many of them are even intelligent😉. Sorry if these blogs are tedious, but someone has to figure out what makes a Grasshopper tick🙄
The miniseries was extensively investigated and wasn’t a producers thoughts. You should look it up and watch. Educate yourself.
Just because I take an opposing viewpoint doesn’t mean I’m wrong nor does it mean I don’t learn. Some people learn by just accepting someone else’s opinions while others actually study all viewpoints to get to the truth. It’s called investigation.

I am wondering if some of us just want opposition in all things … even on the message boards … I guess we will just have to wait until the millennium where A certain influence is bound … for us to get a reprieve from bothersome insects

I can appreciate that Jim, thanks. I will go to my grave not understanding why God makes gay people or the better way to put it is that there are gay people in the world and this has little to do with whether God plans it. But this I do know- We treat our son no differently then our other children and we are very excited to greet our newest grandson into the world, Owen, adopted of course. Our son, Ryan, brings a lot of joy into our lives…and to be honest, having a drug addicted son was and is a million times tougher then having a gay son.
We are also very happy to see the recent changes the church has made in terms of gay relationships. No longer apostates if they are married, it is the right step to take.
This valedictorian coming out is not about making news, its about acceptance. for the same reason that I post here at CougarFan about my son. I don’t do it because I want to, it is very private to me…I do it because I want my son to know that we love him and we have his back. Years ago I used to dislike Ellen, used to call her, Ellen Degenerate, but over time and of course having a gay son, I have learned to respect her a great deal. She donated 10,000 to this kid from what I hear. She is just telling the world that if you are gay, you can do great things, despite what the world throws tells you.

My two cents: As a geologist, we can only say what research leads us to. Evolution IS the process by which world has gotten to this point. I have been reading about Denisovan Man this past week, an ancestor that has come and gone, like Neandertal, but DNA from both groups show up in all living humans, slightly higher in Asians

Most of this has come from a few bones. DNA does not lie. But I was not there when they lived so we have to rely on the science and a whole lot of creative thinking to lay out how we came to be today.
As a geologist, you have to believe that we Are in a global warming phase. but as a geologist, I know that there have been 1000’s of global warming and global cooling phases, some so bad in the Permian era that everything basically died off and had to reboot. The real question is? Did man cause this one as Al Gore has made his fortune$$ from. For me the answer is No. There is real science now that suggests that we are already into the cooling phase and I hope it happens sooner then later so we can shut these dooms dayers up.
The smart phone has made everyone a genius and an entire world of fake news to entertain us. Traditions and rituals that were in place for 1000s of year to protect the family/clan/tribe are being discarded by a generation who “knows everything but knows how to do nothing”.

Did she also donate $10,000 to the woman whose husband died a few months after their son was born and never got his degree? How about $10,000 for the baby who lost his father before he was old enough to know him? Did this valedictorian in political science really need the money? My guess is that he has scholarships that will pay for his education and beyond. It could be easily construed that she gave money to the young man as a reward for promoting his sexual orientation. Once again, I have no issues with same sex attraction in and of itself. I just don’t understand why so many people feel the need to make it into a badge of honor by exclaiming “look at me, I am gay!” . My point being why was it so important for him to tell everyone? at his graduation.
Also, have you questioned why God made your other son a drug addict? or why others are made alcoholics? or pornography addicts? Unfortunately we have become a society and culture that is obsessed with all things sex. I don’t think it has always been that way… why now?
These are just musings and questions I have. God’s work and glory is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. I hope that is what we are all working toward. Thanks for the input and comments. I do respect (and often agree with) your ideas, perspective and opinions.
As we know, through the fall of Adam and Eve, the earth was cursed to bring forth imperfect life forms. Beatles like Thawk and insects like grasshoppers. To torment man (and Cougarfans). But, we also know it all had to be so. We needed bad with good in order to progress in this life. All we are asked to do is keep the Commandments.
Seems the trick these days is to love those who struggle with afflictions of the body and spirit without promoting the same afflictions as being good and heroic.
