Zach/Isaac Wilson

This is a really weird comment

I’m not sure if you’re trying to pick a fight or trying to dig up dirt on the Wilson"s.

I really haven’t been following this thread because it’s stupid, but from what I’ve quickly read through of the comments no one else really cares either. Haters are going to hate. so I’m not sure what you think you’re going to be able to do even if we had people on here who had bad blood with the Wilson’s. If I was you I’d just let it go. As one wise Elder said from the movie the best two years

I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, but the pig likes it.

I think you have officially placed yourself into the “troll” category now. I will tell you that I have NEVER had any interactions with any of the family and I don’t know anyone who has. That is all I can say. Will you continue to troll or are you going to post something interesting now?

I didn’t bring it up. Someone proactively said someone on here had a bad interaction with the Wilson’s and the Wilson’s additionally caused bad PR for BYU.

Did I mention I know the Wilson’s well? I am just curious what this is about.

I also wrote a joke. I laughed even if you didn’t.

You are responding to this sites most elite legend in his own mind

ok I’ll bite

(shaking my head with derision) how old are you that you don’t remember Taysom Hill, Max Hall or John Beck. these are far better QBs then Zach. Zach had one good year 2020 and no one counts that year because we didn’t play anyone good. before that he could barley lead the team over .500.

honestly the Wilson’s aren’t that big of a brand in the BYU domain. when I search for the top byu QBs he doesn’t even make the list, but you know who does? the guys I listed above. once Isaac is out of College football no one will talk about them.

I don’t know why your here being the family’s enforcer/heavy. did they deputize you or pay you money to be their PR guy? the way you are talking you want the whole family canonized as saints. so I ask you what are the miracles they have preformed for you to advocate so highly for their sainthood.

I think you should lay off him for being positive and stressing the good in people. That’s a Christlike behavior. When I was accepted at BYU, I had to have an interview with the local bishop as I was a Jewish non-member. While waiting for him to be ready, his wife and I chatted about people we both knew. I’d say something negative about them and she would shoot back with good things about them. I still remember this.
When I do this, and I do it a lot, I get scorched in here and called a narcissist. All I’m doing is most of the time is being positive about someone.

If I donate to BYU athletics, I don’t do it with the idea that I get to control the administration, AD, Coaches and Players. Once I give, I have faith the donations will be used properly.

As to Zach and the other great QBs from BYU’s past. How many of them played as freshman and even sophomores? And how successful were all of them their early years? Even as Juniors? Now, some in here will do the studying on this. Go for it! Also, who on your list were picked 2nd in the draft? Stop attacking Zach. He’s true Blue! Why chase him to True Red?

@ChiCougar are you going to hide behind Hopper and let him defend you? I mean the only reason you are here is talk about this and defend the them, so lets have at it.

@grasshopper thanks Hopper, but I don’t care.

I figured that. Not everyone follows the Savior

It’s just really strange fan behavior to me. Why belittle one of your best qbs in recent memory. Yes “one of” as there were other great qbs.

It’s even more strange to see some go after their families.

It’s very Ute-like if you ask me but again feel free to eat your young while you’re at it.

Many want to tear down. Makes them feel better. It’s not always easy to build people up following the Savior. Especially when it has to do with sports.

Based on this statement alone, you really are a troll… You know the family, blah, blah, blah…

I have met Zach/Issac and proud parents on the field of play… I have officiated Ute conference and high school football, for many years.

My interaction with the Wilson family was based on them thinking that somehow, they were entitled to special treatment when officiating the game.

When proud poppa gets in my face for a call I made (which I proved to him by the rule book it was a correct call), how do you think my impressions of the Wilson family would be after that interaction?

BTW, I do have a reputation as being a fair and consistent official by many coaches on both levels that I mentioned. Does that mean I do not make mistakes? No, but that means that these coaches know I will do the best I can do to make sure the rules apply fairly.

Then I do have some very good friends who kids played with the Wilson kids and those kids are now playing D1 football. The stories they told me about Zach and his family… But then, that is hearsay, and I don’t usually put much stock in it.

Does that help you? There are people who don’t get along with me, that think I am “unpleasant”, but that does not mean that I am that. To say, you know the family, means nothing to me.

because he wasn’t one of our best QBs in recent history. I wouldn’t even put him in the top 10 in the last 20years.

agreed it is, but in the same breath I can ask why you feel obligated to come here and defend them. to me it seem like the same Psychosis.

@Floyd_Edwards posted his story. now it’s your turn.

Yes that helps. You are mad people are mad at your officiating. Based on that we should just trash the entire BYU football team and coaches. Have you seen Sitake lose his mind and go after officials? Almost every game. What an entitled terrible person.

Not top 10 in last 20 years? Has BYU even had 10 decent qbs in the last 20 years?

If you knew good people getting trashed you would probably defend them too.

go ahead defend your position. I am all ears to here how he was better then any other QB we have had in 20 years.

GH: He’s a troll? After your temper tantrum. Come on…

GH: That you answered his question. Why is someone a jerk because they didn’t understand your calls? Sounds like you answered his question. I’ll guarantee you that he doesn’t remember that interaction. Why do you?

BTW, I do have a reputation as being a fair and consistent official by many coaches on both levels that I mentioned. Does that mean I do not make mistakes? No, but that means that these coaches know I will do the best I can do to make sure the rules apply fairly.

GH: You and Jim say the same things about yourselves. I’m sure every referee says the same thing.

Then I do have some very good friends who kids played with the Wilson kids and those kids are now playing D1 football. The stories they told me about Zach and his family… But then, that is hearsay, and I don’t usually put much stock in it.

GH: Yes, it’s hearsay. Throw that out. I think all of us have things we said or did when we were kids and teenagers that we repented of and don’t do anymore. We grew up. Can Zach now be allowed to grow up too? How about spreading good things about Zach. That would be Christlike.

Does that help you? There are people who don’t get along with me, that think I am “unpleasant”, but that does not mean that I am that. To say, you know the family, means nothing to me.

GH: Well, you keep saying things that suggest you know the family. Should that mean anything? If you are going to say it does, then ChiCougar’s comments should mean something too, shouldn’t it?

Any other QB’s go 2nd in the draft?

I’m not really interested in tearing other BYU QBs down to try and validate Zach. Zach’s record and draft position speak for themselves. Yes he went to QB graveyard he hasn’t been able to dig out of yet.

I’m not fighting you grasshopper. So why don’t you just sit this one out

He’s making good points. All I came here to say was it doesn’t really make sense to tear down one of the “better” players BYU has had and his family. It’s not helping the program. Now people are basically saying Zach is one of the worst QBs in the last 20 years etc. etc.
