all you’re trying to do is parse his interaction so you can say Floyd was wrong. it was his interaction he gets to determine if it was confrontational. why dose it matter to you how Floyd felt about it. its time to get the bees out of your bonnet and buzz off (I know not the best pun). your not going to change his mind especially with the self-righteous attitude you’ve been presenting this entire time. people are entitled to dislike people you like, and it doesn’t mean they’re a bad person. the very act of you trying to convince them that they’re wrong is the self-righteous act. it’s time for you to grow up and stop trying to make everyone think and act like you. your not the arbiter of truth so give it a rest.
Because he exaggerates like you do…Grow up. Stop being confrontational
oh he exaggerates tell me how so we can parse out your interactions. oh wait I like Floyd so that means you should like Floyd isn’t that how we should think… oh wait no you are the arbiter of truth, so it is how you think and feel is how we should. sorry Floyd your an exaggerator. can’t say anything different because then I would be mean and hateful… oh but wait your the one calling him a bad person and being hateful so how can you be the arbiter of truth? does that make me the arbiter of truth now…? yes… yes… I think it dose. bow down to me everyone I am truth. from here on out we all will say what we mean and mean what we say, and if you don’t like it bring facts better then the next. and if you don’t, don’t cry about it and name call, because your a man. humble yourself and admit that you were wrong. or come up with a better argument and facts and try again.
You need to take a vacation. You’ve definitely lost reality.
Just trying to live in the reality you created
Then you are in the real reality
Does grasshopper always burn you guys this badly? He is running circles around you guys.
I see lots of dramatics and angled stories. Hopper just wants the details. You can tell who is winning a debate by those asking for facts vs. those dodging facts.
So some dad cared about his son and yelled something to an official in the parking lot. Big deal. I have seen worse at 12 year old soccer games. Someone thinks a coach is justified in defending his team but a father defending his son isn’t?
no facts given to prove argument. statement deemed false
has not answered questions or given facts on your positions. ruled an avoider
you weren’t there. opinion ruled irrelevant
And Trump is Hitler and the election was stolen…
So after wasting 10 minutes of my life reading the last 85 posts on this thread (I glanced over some of them for good reason) I have come to some possible conclusions.
- ChiCougar is the 10 year old little brother of the Wison QB family and a successful fisherman.
- The Hopper loves to argue with long time cougarfan posters who are logical/knowledgeable yet continues to lose these arguments every time.
- Fernk or Arbiter of truth as he calls himself now has not been here long enough to understand how the Hopper operates.
- Floyd is back thankfully and once again getting an earful from the Hopper for no reason.
- Tom somehow swam around, resisting the bait for a long time but finally took it and was immediately denigrated by the Hopper for no reason.
- Lastly, this is the only post I will make in this thread going forward, because it is so similar to some of the complete waste of time threads I have read too many times before.
Hopper, why do you bring the gospel and the holier than thou comments into meaningless threads like this one? It has no place or relevance. Interested to know why but I won’t reply.
JCoug. I came here for one reason which was to say it makes no sense bashing your own, let alone some of your best (and their families).
From their head scratching comments about my dad yelling at people in parking lots and Zach being among the worst qbs in decades came up. None of this was sought out.
Isaac might not have a great chance of ever wearing a Y but BYU probably has a better shot than any university right now of landing him.
Eat your young though mighty lions.
Jim, nice post and I apologize. I should have remembered THawk’s advice from long ago:
“DONT TAKE THE BAIT.”
I will do better.
So, you are a Wilson? What then is the truth about your dad and the Floyd encounter?
Your brother is awesome…
From my neutral perspective of this thread it was one long pointless cat fight. Don’t know anything about the Wilsons and don’t really care. One comment was made that was demonstrably false and that was that Zach Wilson was not one of the top 10 best BYU QBs of the last 20 years. Based on the list of all the QBs that somebody listed Wilson was easily in the top 5. Strictly as a QB he had the most success in the NFL. Hill is a better football player, but Hill is a better football player than 90% of the guys in the NFL.
As a college QB I would put Wilson maybe a little behind Max Hall, Beck, and Hill and a little ahead of Jaren Hall. Jaren Hall was Wilson’s backup when they were both on the roster. The rest of the guys on the list were clearly not better college QBs than Wilson.
Wilson clearly has physical skills that make him a better NFL QB than anybody in the last 20 years who has played for BYU. That is why he was the number 2 draft pick. Both Halls and Beck played in the NFL and were very marginal NFL players. Meaning they hardly played at all. Wilson started 33 games and showed he has the physical skill to be an NFL QB. He may be a jerk but he has a lot of skill. Maybe Jaren Hall will kick around awhile as a backup but I doubt he will ever be a starter. It seems Wilson’s issues are between the ears. He has the skill to be very good. He has a great arm, can make all the throws, and is very mobile I hope he can find the right situation and coaching and find success. Maybe being 3rd string in Denver will humble him.
Would love to see Isaac Wilson transfer to BYU. He has a lot of ability and was thrown into a tough situation at Utah.
don’t be jelly I earned that
it was boring day at work so I entertained myself.
@ChiCougar if you truly a member of their family. what you have done here speaks more to prove Floyd’s experience and assessment of your family then it did to defend it.
Kiss a**
here is my list from best to worst.
Max Hall
Taysom Hill
John Beck
Jared Hall
Jake heaps
Zach Wilson
Tanner Mangum
Riley Nelson
Matt Berry
I see the college and the NFL being so different that I can’t use one as a metric to prove that they were good in the other. my proof Brett Favre and Trevor Lawrence. would you say that Trevor was a great College QB and better then Wilson? I would, but comparing their NFL career’s Zach looks better.
Not sure Noodle arm is ahead of Matt Berry…
My top 10 group would be:
Max Hall
Taysom Hill
John Beck
Zach Wilson
Jared Hall
Tanner Mangum
Jake heaps
Matt Berry
Riley Nelson
The top five all had the ability to make a busted play into a gain, by the ability to see the field and do something with it.
But you are right, what QB’s do or not do in the NFL does not negate the greatness in college. We have Heisman Trophy winners flushing out in the NFL.
I think Zach can succeed if he finds the coach with the right offense. I do not blame Zach for failing with the Jets, that organization has been a dumpster fire for decades, I think if anyone can revive Wilson NFL career, it is Sean Peyton in Denver. That dude is a QB dream coach.
Funny, until you showed up, no one was bashing your brother or anyone else. I had a brief interaction with your dad, that was not pleasant, but I chalked it up to being a dad. It happened a long time ago, and I have let it go, until you brought up the memory by your comments.
There is nothing wrong with discussing our viewpoint about ARod and his inane play calling. Even Kalani has mentioned that something has to change because we can’t win with FG’s.
If I have offended you, I apologize for it. Sometimes I come across a bit gruffer than intended. Because your brother is former BYU, I have always hoped he would make it in the NFL. Then he got drafted by the Jets and I lost hope, because of the Jets organization, if anyone can find a way to screw up a kid’s potential, they can and do many times over.
As for your other brother (I am assuming here) Isaac, I am not one that thinks BYU is the only place someone should go. I love BYU sports, but like I said before, Isaac should be at a place that will develop his skills set. If that Utah, Great! or BYU or some other school. Isaac needs to do what is in his best interests, not what fans thinks is best.
You have no clue what you are talking about Scott. So, stop making accusations unless you can back it up with actual facts.
Aren’t you the one that “preaches” no bearing false witness of others? Well, dude, you just bore false witness against me!
Fix the mote in your own eye, before trying to fix the glean in my eye!
Your top ten would be close to mine. I guess Jaren Hall and Zach Wilson could be switched either way without much of an argument. There is no way in the world Jake Heaps was a better college QB than Zach Wilson. I wouldn’t even rate Jake above Nelson based on what they did in college. Jake had all the tools in terms of arm strength and mechanics but he had very little leadership ability, no mobility, couldn’t read a defense. Maybe a different QB coach would have helped but if you base his rating on what he accomplished I think Nelson was clearly better.
I guess I would rate Nelson over Heaps. That would be the only point I would argue. Heaps had a very good freshman year and then digressed. Why he digressed is anybody’s guess, but he did. He failed even worse at Kansas and Miami.
I’m not related to Zach. That was a typo.
There needs to be more hoppers around here.
Here, here…you bet there needs to be more! The elites here need checks and balances.
